We are your elected representatives serving the Dupont Circle area. While we do not have legislative authority, it is our job to weigh in to the District government agencies, boards, Council, as well as the Federal government, on issues that affect our neighborhood and the city at-large. We also serve to connect residents to District officials to improve constituent services. We are volunteers and receive no salary or stipend.
Each Commissioner represents a Single Member District (SMD) of approximately 2,000 residents. As of the 2000 census and subsequent re-districting, the Dupont Circle ANC (2B) is made up of 9 SMDs and 9 Commissioners. You can view our map of ANC 2B and its SMDs here and a list of Commissioners here.

Code at Section 1-251 (as amended) for a legal description of ANCs.
