If you are concerned about the issue of homelessness in our neighborhood and around the District, here’s your chance to learn more and meet your neighbors who want to help do something about it.
This is a reminder to save the date and submit your questions for the ANC 2B Town Hall on Homelessness, to be held next Tuesday, February 6th at 7:00 pm at the Keegan Theater, 1742 Church Street NW.
The ANC has received numerous requests from constituents to have a discussion on this topic and believes this one-stop shop will provide you with facts you may not know, an understanding of the legal rights of the homeless, and valuable information on what residents can do to help the homeless and assist local service providers.
During the town hall, service providers and representatives from the District’s Interagency Council on Homelessness, the Metropolitan Police Department, and the U.S. Park Police will provide an overview of the current unhoused population, respond to questions from the audience, and provide resources to help address this issue in concrete and tangible ways.
Community members are asked to submit their top three questions for the experts here.
We look forward to your attendance at the town hall!
