ANC 2B will hold a special June 2021 meeting on Wednesday, June 16th at 6:30 pm. The sole purpose of the meeting is to introduce an emergency measure to authorize the ANC to partner with Capital Pride, Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets, the Dupont Circle BID, and other groups to hold a sidewalk festival on 17th Street NW within the boundaries of ANC 2B on Saturday, June 26th. The meeting will end promptly by 6:40 pm.

The emergency nature of this meeting is due to the meeting being a follow-up to the highly successful Pride Walk of Saturday, June 12th, in which thousands of people participated, including the Vice President of the United States. Following the extraordinary success of that event, partnering groups now wish to hold a neighborhood event during the final week of Pride Month. Because of the unique circumstances of the reopening of the District and the relaxing of COVID restrictions, advance planning has been difficult, and it is vital that all partnering groups move as quickly as possible.
