May 22nd TPI Committee Meeting Agenda

ANC 2B will hold its next Transportation and Public Infrastructure (TPI) Committee meeting on Wednesday, May 22nd at 7:00 pm at the Dupont Circle Resource Center, 9 Dupont Circle NW.

The agenda includes:

  • Welcome and review of meeting norms
  • Member introductions
  • Discussion regarding proposed DC Council Vision Zero legislation
  • Discussion regarding proposed DC Council legislation changes to residential parking permits fee structure
  • Discussion regarding the proposal to transfer photo enforcement from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to the District Department of Transportation (DDOT)

The purpose of the Transportation and Public Infrastructure (TPI) Committee is to promote a safe and effective transportation system for the residents and visitors of Dupont Circle and improve the use of public space in our neighborhood. The role of the TPI Committee serves as a forum for discussing matters related to the following and making recommendations to the ANC:

  • Parking in the neighborhood, including valet applications, loading zones, the enhanced residential parking program and visitor parking
  • Pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure and safety
  • Beautification, repair, and streetscapes
  • Public transit
  • Public parks
  • Matters before the DC Council related to transportation and public space

Final ANC 2B Special May 2019 Agenda and Draft Motions Posted

The final agenda for the ANC’s special May meeting has been posted and can be viewed at the following link:

The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 16th at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies’ (SAIS) Rome Building at 1619 Massachusetts Avenue NW.

Please note that, due School of Advanced International Studies policies, all meeting attendees will be required to show photo ID in order to enter the school building.

The draft motion regarding the 1733 16th Street NW historic landmark amendment application from the ANC’s Zoning, Preservation, and Development (ZPD) Committee meeting on Wednesday, May 1st can be viewed at the following link:

With regards to the 1733 16th Street NW concept application, the ZPD Committee was not able to create a draft motion during the Wednesday, May 1st meeting due to time constraints. Chair Warwick thus stated during the meeting that any commissioner would be able to create a draft motion for consideration during the Thursday, May 16th meeting. The commission has thus far received one draft motion, which can be viewed at the following link:

Please note that other draft motions from commissioners may still be considered during the Thursday, May 16th meeting.

Updated TPI Committee Schedule for 2019 and 2020

In an effort to be more responsive and timely to issue matters, ANC 2B’s Transportation and Public Infrastructure (TPI) Committee has moved its standing meeting date from the third Wednesday to the fourth Wednesday of each month. Below is a schedule of meeting dates with select dates rescheduled because of conflicting holidays.

ANC 2B generally holds TPI Committee meetings at 7:00 pm at the Dupont Circle Resource Center, 9 Dupont Circle NW.

As a reminder, the list of alcoholic beverage license renewal applications that the ANC will consider during the meeting can be found at the following link:

The meeting will be on Wednesday, May 8th at 7:00 pm. Please note that the meeting will take place at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), 1717 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Room 500. This is the SAIS building that is located on the north side of the 1700 block of Massachusetts Avenue.

Please also note that, due School of Advanced International Studies policies, all meeting attendees will be required to show photo ID in order to enter the school building.

ANC 2B Special May 2019 Agenda Posted

As previously announced, ANC 2B will hold a special May meeting to consider two Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) applications for 1733 16th Street NW. The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 16th at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies’ (SAIS) Rome Building at 1619 Massachusetts Avenue NW.

Please note that the Rome Building is a different SAIS building than the location of the ANC’s regular meetings. Please also note that, due to SAIS policies, all meeting attendees will be required to show photo ID in order to enter the school building.

The agenda for the meeting can be found here. The ANC will be providing Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) during the meeting.

Additionally, as previously announced, the ANC will be holding its regular May meeting on Wednesday, May 8th. The two applications for 1733 16th Street NW will not be discussed during the May 8th meeting.
