{"id":2462,"date":"2013-02-16T22:21:35","date_gmt":"2013-02-17T03:21:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dupontcircleanc.net\/wordpress\/?p=2462"},"modified":"2013-03-12T22:26:08","modified_gmt":"2013-03-13T02:26:08","slug":"news-special-election-to-fill-2b05-vacancy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dupontcircleanc.net\/wordpress\/2013\/02\/16\/news-special-election-to-fill-2b05-vacancy\/","title":{"rendered":"NEWS: Special election to fill 2B05 vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There will be a special election to fill the vacancy for Commissioner for the Single Member District (SMD) 2B05.\u00a0 The special election will take place at the ANC&#8217;s March 13, 2013 public meeting.<\/p>\n<p>At the ANC&#8217;s February public meeting, the Commission voted on the rules of the special election.:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The polls will be open from 7:15pm until 9:30pm.<\/li>\n<li>The election manager will be Gottlieb Simon of the Office of ANCS.\u00a0 Mr. Simon has managed many special ANC elections over the years.<\/li>\n<li>By coin toss, candidate Dito Sevilla will be first on the ballot, and candidate Abigail Nichols will be second on the ballot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The winner will be determined immediately after the close of the ballot box, and the ANC will confirm the winner by vote.\u00a0\u00a0 The full special election procedures as approved by the ANC are enclosed here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dupontcircleanc.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Special-Election-Rules-2B05.pdf\">Special Election Rules 2B05 (PDF)<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There will be a special election to fill the vacancy for Commissioner for the Single Member District (SMD) 2B05.\u00a0 The special election will take place at the ANC&#8217;s March 13, 2013 public meeting.
