(For reference, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dupontcircleanc.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/ANC-2B-Public-Space-Guidelines-as-Adopted-on-3-2-11.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are the ANC\u2019s current guidelines.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As previously announced, ANC 2B is also holding a community meeting this evening on the topic. In advance of that discussion, we\u2019d like to share high-level results of the survey:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There were over 230 responses, with the majority being residents of Dupont Circle and living on\/near a mixed-use block.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respondents largely feel that there are either too few or just the right number of establishments which may have sidewalk cafes \/ outdoor restaurants.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most respondents typically patronize sidewalk cafes at least 2-3 times per month.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No one closing time is preferred by a majority of respondents, though the preferred distribution of closing hours was later for Friday and Saturday evenings than for Sunday through Thursday evenings.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A majority of respondents believe that the appropriate time to close sidewalk cafes \/ outdoor restaurants should be impacted by such factors as whether alcohol is served, whether there is amplified noise, and\/or whether there is full food service being offered until closing.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The complete survey results can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dupontcircleanc.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/ANC-2B-Public-Space-Survey-High-Level-Results.pdf\">here<\/a>.
