ANC 2B Announces Details for Special Election for 2B04

Hello neighbors,

At ANC 2B’s regular March meeting this Wednesday, the ANC will hold a special election for the current commissioner vacancy for single member district 2B04. Anyone who is a registered voter in single member district 2B04 will be able to participate in the special election. The meeting will be this Wednesday, March 8th at 7:00 pm at the Brookings Institution, 1775 Massachusetts Avenue NW. The most up to date meeting agenda can be found here.

Polls will be open during the meeting from 7:00 pm until 9:30 pm. Once the polls close at 9:30 pm, the ballots will be counted and the results will be announced by the end of the meeting. The polling will take place outside of the ANC’s meeting room.

In order to participate in the special election, you must be a registered voter in single member district 2B04, the boundaries of which can be found on the ANC 2B map here. Same day voter registration will not be available at the polls. All ballots must be cast in person at the meeting. The election will be administered by the Office of Advisory Neighborhood Commissions.

There will be four candidates appearing on the ballot. The order they will be appearing on the ballot, which is sorted alphabetically by last name, is as follows:

  • Christopher Davis
  • Nick Delle Donne
  • Lawrence Scott
  • Jeffrey Seese

March 1st ZPD Committee Meeting Agenda

ANC 2B will hold our monthly Zoning, Preservation, and Development (ZPD) Committee meeting on Wednesday, March 1st at 7:00 pm at the Dupont Circle Resource Center, 9 Dupont Circle NW. The meeting will be held in the order of the agenda below:

  • 1722 Swann Street NW – Concept / new construction of three-story plus basement plus mezzanine levels for multifamily building (HPRB #17-072) (2B01)
  • 1902 R Street NW – Conversion of a mixed use townhouse to entirely residential. Rear addition to existing building (HPRB #17-249) (2B03)
  • 1526 New Hampshire Avenue NW – Public space art work (2B03)

February 16th TPI Committee Meeting Agenda

This is a reminder that ANC 2B will be holding the February Transportation and Public Infrastructure (TPI) Committee meeting this evening, Thursday, February 16th, at 7:30 pm at the Dupont Circle Resource Center, 9 Dupont Circle NW. The meeting will be held in the order of the agenda below:

  • 14th Street Express Bus Service Campaign  – Residents and business leaders from across the city are engaged in a campaign to establish a limited stop bus line to shorten commutes, better connect communities to jobs, and stimulate revenue and taxes in the area. ANC 2B will discuss adding our support tonight.
  • Continuation of the Establishment of Goals and Objectives for ANC 2B – The second half of the TPI Committee meeting will be focused on developing specific goals and objectives that the committee would like to work on over the term.
