ANC 2B Will Not Hold February ZPD Committee Meeting

There are no zoning or historic preservation cases currently before the ANC’s Zoning, Preservation, and Development (ZPD) Committee. Therefore, the ZPD Committee will not meet in February. The ANC’s regular February meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 10th with an agenda and login information forthcoming.

Additionally, please remember to submit your application(s) to serve on an ANC 2B committee by Thursday, February 4th. More information can be found here.

ANC 2B’s 2021 Meeting Schedule and Committee Application

At Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 2B’s regular meeting on Wednesday, January 13th, the commission approved the ANC’s 2021 meeting schedule, which can be found here.

ANC 2B is also accepting applications for the following committees:

  • Housing, Preservation, and Development
  • Mobility
  • Education and Families (working group)

The COVID-19 Task Force is anticipated to be comprised solely of elected commissioners at this time.

Applications will be reviewed by the Chair of each committee and upon review, the full ANC will vote to appoint members at the ANC’s regular February meeting on Wednesday, February 10th. The application form can be found here. We ask that you complete the form by Thursday, February 4th.

January 6th ZPD Committee Meeting Agenda (Virtual Meeting)

ANC 2B will hold our monthly Zoning, Preservation, and Development (ZPD) Committee meeting on Wednesday, January 6th at 7:00 pm. In accordance with the “COVID-19 Response Emergency Amendment Act of 2020” and current DC Health limitations on mass gatherings, this meeting will be held online via Zoom and can be accessed at the following link: http://bit.ly/ANC2BJanuary2021ZPD.

ANC 2B Will Not Hold December ZPD Committee Meeting

ANC 2B’s Zoning, Preservation, and Development (ZPD) Committee will not meet in December 2020. The following two cases will be heard by the full ANC as part of its regular December meeting on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020:

  • 1334 22nd Street NW – Addition for penthouse near rear side of building with no changes to the building elevation on front and rear (HPRB #21-062) (2B06) – More information regarding the project can be found here.
  • 1519 and 1609-1611 17th Street NW Nomination for Historic Landmark designation for Annie’s Paramount Steakhouse and its former location, the site of JR’s Bar (HPRB #21-04) (2B05 and 2B04) – More information regarding the project can be found here.

November 4th ZPD Committee Meeting Agenda (Virtual Meeting)

  • 1536 16th Street NW Application by the Foundation to Support Animal Protection for special exceptions under the lodging use requirements to renovate the interior of the building to accommodate space for 10 guests in the existing office building (BZA #20319) (2B05) – More information regarding the project can be found here.
  • 1725 Church Street NW Application for a special exception from the lot occupancy requirements to construct a new porch addition with entry stairs to an existing attached principal dwelling unit (BZA #20367) (2B07) – More information regarding the project can be found here.
  • 1328 16th Street NWDemolishing the 1980 annex of First Baptist Church and building a 7-story and penthouse mixed-used building in its place. A secondary project consists of facade alterations to a small portion of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Drake apartment building, which is part of the complex.
