Enclosed here is a PDF (4 MB) of the District Department of Transportation’s “Circulator Transit Development Plan” from March 2011. Two of the proposed lines in the plan run directly through Dupont (see pages 59 and 67), and others go through other parts of the ANC.
This 2011 report will be the subject of discussion at tonight’s ANC meeting. Bill McLeod, Executive Director of Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets, has asked the ANC for a resolution of support to keep the Dupont-Waterfront line (see page 59) in the plan as it goes forward. Inter-related, we will also hear from ANC 2A Chair Patrick Kennedy, asking for support for a line that would start at the Lincoln Memorial and travel through Foggy Bottom, Dupont Circle, and up to the U Street Metro station.
