March 15th TPI Committee Meeting Agenda

This is a reminder that ANC 2B will be holding the March Transportation and Public Infrastructure (TPI) Committee meeting this Wednesday, March 15th at 7:00 pm at the Dupont Circle Resource Center, 9 Dupont Circle NW. The meeting will be held in the order of the agenda below:

  • Discussion about DDOT 2017 Capital Bikeshare expansion in ANC 2B. DDOT representative will be in attendance.
  • Representatives from DDOT will engage in discussion about projects such as improvement of bike lanes and bike/pedestrian/vehicle separation, marking, and safety.
  • Discussion on campaign to bring rainbow crosswalks to ANC 2B.
  • Discussion on potential engagement with Amazon regarding neighborhood pickup locker program.

ANC 2B Announces Election of Nick DelleDonne for 2B04

Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2B is pleased to announce that Nick DelleDonne has been elected as the next commissioner for single member district 2B04. Nick is filling the vacancy created by the resignation of former Commissioner Michael Upright. After the conclusion of a special election held during the ANC’s regular March meeting on Wednesday, March 8th, it was determined that Nick was the winner of the election. He will be sworn-in by Ward 2 Councilmember Jack Evans later this week.

A resident of historic Riggs Place NW, Nick has organized neighborhood action in promoting rodent control and took part in a neighborhood collaboration that won a precedent-setting decision from the Historic Preservation Review Board to stop intrusive development on the alley of Riggs Place. He has been a Dupont Circle resident since 1992 and currently works in residential landscape design.

A union organizer in the public sector, Nick led the movement to use third party arbitration to resolve employee grievances and won one of the first negotiated flextime agreements in the federal government. He hosted a local radio program with a focus on labor issues and has directed public relations and communications programs.

Nick is grateful for the opportunity to work for community betterment through community activism in his new capacity representing district 2B04 as Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner. He looks forward to working closely with the Dupont Circle community.

ANC 2B Announces Details for Special Election for 2B04

Hello neighbors,

At ANC 2B’s regular March meeting this Wednesday, the ANC will hold a special election for the current commissioner vacancy for single member district 2B04. Anyone who is a registered voter in single member district 2B04 will be able to participate in the special election. The meeting will be this Wednesday, March 8th at 7:00 pm at the Brookings Institution, 1775 Massachusetts Avenue NW. The most up to date meeting agenda can be found here.

Polls will be open during the meeting from 7:00 pm until 9:30 pm. Once the polls close at 9:30 pm, the ballots will be counted and the results will be announced by the end of the meeting. The polling will take place outside of the ANC’s meeting room.

In order to participate in the special election, you must be a registered voter in single member district 2B04, the boundaries of which can be found on the ANC 2B map here. Same day voter registration will not be available at the polls. All ballots must be cast in person at the meeting. The election will be administered by the Office of Advisory Neighborhood Commissions.

There will be four candidates appearing on the ballot. The order they will be appearing on the ballot, which is sorted alphabetically by last name, is as follows:

  • Christopher Davis
  • Nick Delle Donne
  • Lawrence Scott
  • Jeffrey Seese
