May 16th TPI Committee Meeting Agenda

ANC 2B will hold its May Transportation and Public Infrastructure (TPI) Committee meeting on Wednesday, May 16th at 7:00 pm at the Dupont Circle Resource Center, 9 Dupont Circle NW.

The agenda includes:

  • Welcome
  • Presentation and discussion regarding the District Department of Transportation’s proposal for a cycletrack on 17th Street NW
  • Discussion regarding the District Department of Transportation’s Connecticut Avenue NW Streetscape and Deck-Over Project
  • Discussion regarding the District Department of Transportation’s Notice of Intent (NOI) #18‐43‐TOA for the expansion of the no parking zone on Q Street at 16th Street NW and the conversion of the existing two-hour parking zone at the same site to 15‐minute parking from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday

The meeting will be on Wednesday, May 9th at 7:00 pm. Please note that the meeting will take place at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), 1717 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Room 500. This is the SAIS building that is located on the north side of the 1700 block of Massachusetts Avenue.

Please also note that, due School of Advanced International Studies policies, all meeting attendees will be required to show photo ID in order to enter the school building.

May 2nd ZPD Committee Meeting Agenda

ANC 2B will hold our monthly Zoning, Preservation, and Development (ZPD) Committee meeting on Wednesday, May 2nd at 7:00 pm at the Dupont Circle Resource Center, 9 Dupont Circle NW.

The committee will review the following historic preservation and zoning applications:

  • 1325 21st Street NW – Concept / rear addition and alteration (2B06)
  • 1729 T Street NW – Application by 1729 T Street TF LLC for variances from the closed court requirements, the floor area ratio requirements, and the lot occupancy requirements to construct a five-unit apartment house (BZA #19772) (2B08)
  • 1218 16th Street NW – Application by Philip Qiu and Associates LLC for a use variance from the use provisions to use a portion of the existing office building as a small public gallery (BZA #19774) (2B05)

ANC 2B and Perseus Realty to Host Community Meeting on Proposed Development at 15th Street and S Street NW

ANC 2B and Perseus Realty will host an upcoming community meeting regarding a future application for an apartment development at 15th Street and S Street NW, behind the Masonic Temple. The meeting will include preliminary plans for massing and a discussion to provide community input on the design of the proposed building. This is the first meeting for community members and the ANC to provide input on the project and we expect a historic preservation concept review application will be filed in the following months.

The meeting will be on Tuesday, May 1st at 7:00 pm at the Masonic Temple, 1733 16th Street NW.
