The meeting will be on Wednesday, May 8th at 7:00 pm. Please note that the meeting will take place at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), 1717 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Room 500. This is the SAIS building that is located on the north side of the 1700 block of Massachusetts Avenue.

Please also note that, due School of Advanced International Studies policies, all meeting attendees will be required to show photo ID in order to enter the school building.

ANC 2B Special May 2019 Agenda Posted

As previously announced, ANC 2B will hold a special May meeting to consider two Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) applications for 1733 16th Street NW. The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 16th at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies’ (SAIS) Rome Building at 1619 Massachusetts Avenue NW.

Please note that the Rome Building is a different SAIS building than the location of the ANC’s regular meetings. Please also note that, due to SAIS policies, all meeting attendees will be required to show photo ID in order to enter the school building.

The agenda for the meeting can be found here. The ANC will be providing Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) during the meeting.

Additionally, as previously announced, the ANC will be holding its regular May meeting on Wednesday, May 8th. The two applications for 1733 16th Street NW will not be discussed during the May 8th meeting.

Updated May 1st ZPD Committee Meeting Notice

ANC 2B has updated the agenda for the ANC’s May Zoning, Preservation, and Development (ZPD) Committee meeting, which will take place on Wednesday, May 1st at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall on the second floor of Foundry United Methodist Church, 1500 16th Street NW.

The committee will review the following historic preservation applications:

  • 1229 19th Street NW – Concept / addition, second floor on detached garage (HPRB #19-310) (2B07)
  • 1733 16th Street NW, Scottish Rite Temple – Historic landmark amendment (boundary expansion) (HPRB #19-05) (2B04)
  • 1733 16th Street NW, Scottish Rite Temple – Concept / four-story plus penthouse new apartment building (HPRB #18-668) (2B04)

Please note that the full ANC will then review the recommendations of the ZPD Committee regarding the two applications for 1733 16th Street NW during a special May meeting on Thursday, May 16th at 7:00 pm. The ANC is in the process of finalizing the location for the May 16th meeting and will publicize the location once it is finalized. The recommendations regarding the application for 1229 19th Street NW will be reviewed by the full ANC during the ANC’s regular May meeting on Wednesday, May 8th at 7:00 pm at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, 1717 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Room 500.
